100 Yard Match

Count me in, 22lr and 17 hmr just let us know what target and the distance.

Me too,

I really enjoyed the 200m .22lr challenge we had a while ago. I didnt even produce a group worth posting but with all the practice we have been doing my GF and I are in.

I have a T-bolt and a 10/22 that shoot pretty good.

If anyone needs help setting this up let me know.

Yah, it is a postal type match :)

sean18mb, i liked the targets you created. I especially like the third one, i think that we could use it for 100 yard open sights instead of the one i chose on the other page... Is there anyway that you could load that particular target on photobucket or put it into a PDF file?

To put it on photobucket (assuming you allready have an account), right click on the picture and press "save as picture" (or something along those lines), and save the picture. From there you can load the picture of photobucket. Still looking around for a 100 yard scoped target that we can use. The 50 yard open sights target may work but it would be nice to have something a bit different.

Here is the JPEG format:

WORD Document
-The download button is near the bottom left corner of the page
-(WORD format will print in better quality, the lines will be sharper and not blurry)

(Again, I do not care which targets are used, but if I can help I will.)

Thanks for that sean18mb :) I think that we will be using that for 100 yar open sights.

I also may have found a 100 yard target that we could use. Here is the target: http://www.rimfirecentral.com/targets/match/m8.pdf

We could fire 6 shots at 3 of the targets and 7 shots at the other for a maximum score of 250. To score X's, the bullet would have to be completely in the 10 ring. Not touching the 9 ring at all.

If this is allright with everybody i will set up the rules.

The classes will be as follows:

50 yard open sights
100 yard open sights
50 yard unlimited
100 yard unlimited.

I will get more details on everything in a bit :)

The mini Palma would be the correct target for .22lr with irons.
The one on the prvious post would be okay as well, as long as the target is black.
I don't know how to download or print this stuff, but I can find someone to help me if that is what we will use for the targets.

Great!!!

Over the course of today and tomorrow i will work on creating all the rules, setting up all the targets and getting it ready for February. I think that this is going to be a lot of fun.

I just laid in a case of target ammo for da boyz, and we are ready to rock!

Thanks for all your hard work, CZ452shooter, and to all the others that put in time to this event.

It is going to be a whole bunch of "YAHOO"!:D
As soon as it warms up, that is! -20's with wind
does not make for good groups!

No prob and good luck shooting :)

I may ask the admins if we can either start a new forum for this or keep the matches as stickies.

I gotta shoot at 100m.. :( 5 or 10 shot groups?
Smallbore 100 yard matches were always shot with 10 shot groups , but this sounds more like a benchrest thing, which, as I understsand is mostly 5 shots.

I only shot BR50 in benchrest, and that is 50 rounds per target!

We will have to see what our " Match Convener" (cz452shooter), has to say!:D

I made the rules for 100 yard open sights. Here they are.

Will get the rest of the rules finished (eventually)

100 Yard iron sights.
http://www.uspalma.com/Targets/PDFs/900 MiniPalma.pdf

Print off two targets. It is my recommendation that if you have any cardstock or photo-paper that you print it off on that. With iron sights, fire 10 shots at each target for a maximum score of 200. In the event of completely missing the target, no re-shot is awarded. Please count this score as “0”. If you miss the bull (but still get on paper), also count shot as a “0”.

To score an X, the shot must be touching the inside 10 ring. It does not have to be completely in the ring, as long as it’s touching it. This will make for a maximum score of 200-20x

You may report group size if you want, this is optional however. If one or more shots completely misses the target, and it is hard to measure group size, don’t worry about it. To measure group size, use a caliper, ruler, or micrometer (if group size is small enough), and find the two shots that are the farthest away from each other. Now that you have done this, measure the group from the outside of one bullet hole to the outside of the other. Now subtract .2 from that number to find your group size (Usually when you measure a single shot it comes out closer to .2 then .22) . There are other methods for doing this that you may use as well such as: Measuring the center of the one furthest shot and the center of the other furthest shot (and not subtracting anything). Or measuring from the inside of one of the furthest shots to the outside of the other furthest shot. Anyway of these three methods will work for calculating group size CTC (center to center).

If you can not tell what ring a shot touches, please count that shot as the lower of the two. If you have a scoring gauge, you may use it.

RULES:
----------------------------------------------
1. From the front edge of the bench to the face of the target: 100 yards.

2. Weight: There is no limit on weight of the rifle or pistol.
