100 yard paralax scope on .22.... bad news? NEED help

so i found a really good deal on a redfield rovolution 2-7x33...
i wanna mount it on my new savage MK II.... i hear i sould go with a 50 yard parallax scope, but is a 100 yard parallax really that bad on a .22? what kinda problems would i run into?

I guess it depends on what range you shoot at most. In general the parallax doesn't cause that big a problem unless your going down to 25 or so and the scope is at a higher power.
Adjustable parallax would always be better through
 
Most scopes are pretty easy to adjust yourself. Just take the trim ring off the objective lens and turn the lens holder out until you get the paralax adjusted where you want it. When I do this, I put the gun in a vise with padding and look through the scope at a target at whatever range I want to shoot at. When I you can move your head around without the point of aim moving, you have adjusted the paralax for your new range.

I only use adjustable objective scopes that focus down to 15m minimum (10m is better) for rimfire. They aren't that hard to find and allow trouble free, accurate shooting at the ranges typically used by rimfires.

Out of all the 22's I have with optics none have a "rimfire" scope and shoot just fine. I dont see why ppl get all worked up about it. I would sell that 2-7 and get a 4-12 though. I love that one a 22.
 
I like the 2-7 because.... this rifle is not a benchest target shooter, and the scope.is nice and small. Most shots will be within 100 yards on gophers and cans. Beyond that I'll reach for my .17 hmr.

And not to mention I've heard GREAT things about the Redfield.

Just don't screw th lens itself out all the way. I've never had to turn the objective out more than about 1.5 turns to get a 100 yd scope adjusted to 25 yds. Some manufacturers you can send your scope to them and get it adjusted, this is how they would do it also.

To add to turbo bird"s post, adding a BC flip cap will help hold the objective lens in place. This mod works an pretty much all non-AO scopes. AO scopes are simply designed to allow you to do this with the objective. Just dont unscrew the objective until the o-ring lets go and leaks all the nitrogen out. You'll get the parrallax dialed out long before this happens though.
