Thinking of buying a new Nightforce 8-32x56 zero stop scope with the MOART reticle and wondering if I will still be able to maintain a 100 yard zero with a 40 MOA rail. What's your thoughts.

Google shows your scope with 65moa adjustment.
Mounted on a 40moa rail, I doubt very much you'll have 100yd zero.

My own 70moa adjustable scope, with 30moa mount, will zero at 100 with 3 or 4 minutes to spare. When I add another 10 to my rings, I zero at 300yd.

Fwiw, I use an EGW 20moa rail, with Burris Zee rings using 10moa inserts. With the inserts you'll have the option of 5,10,15 or 20.

Good luck.

If your looking to shoot reallllly far you may want to get a 5.5-22 power rather then the 8-32. You will be fine with the 5.5-22 and a 40moa rail.

If your not going to be using more then 50 minutes then the 8-32 and a 20 moa rail will work.

Just something to think about.

Right now I have a 5.5-22x50 with a 20 MOA near base and alpha mount on my 6.5-284. I think I have roughly 75 MOA travel in it with a 100yd zero. The only reason I was going to go with the 8-32x56 is I'm in the process of building a new rifle to get me to at least a mile and my old eyes need all the magnification I can get.

Nothing wrong with the Sightron. I have used a 8-32x56 Sightron and the glass is great. But after having a Nightforce with 20moa/revolution and zero stop I don't want to go back.
