I'm looking forward to this shoot!

It will be interesting to see what rifles people will be shooting for each class. I'm using my Ruger #1 in 300 Win Mag for Hunter and my M1A National Match in Sporter - just because I can. A Bat 3 lug Mcmillan stocked 6.5x47 Lapua for both heavy barrel and Unlimited. I wish I had a another rifle suitable for heavy barrel so I could bring 4 rifles instead of 3.

bushrat - Are we shooting from a bench or prone?

All competitors will be shooting from the bench's hend238. there sure is a varied lineup of cartridges brought to the shoot.

It's turning out to be a good day shooting. Finished up our 5 shot Heavy Barrel Class and tallied the group sizes. Our Ladies are doing well with a mere 3/8" difference between 1st and 3rd place and was won by one of our Juniors. The men were close too with the winning group at 5 3/8" and second place was only an inch bigger.

Nic.

Long time participant Brian B has done quite well this Saturday! His 5 shot Heavy Barrel Group and 10 shot Unlimited Group were with in 3/8" of each other! 6 3/8" and 6 3/4"
The Juniors are giving everyone a run for their money still. One young lad has his gun dialed in good scoring a 98 4X. Well done! The aggregate score of 145 seems to be the lucky number the last two years, the lucky guy is going home with a new Browning Wood Medallion 325WSM compliments of Woods N' Water Sports. Our Junior aggregate score winner with 144 points also gets to take home a rifle a Remington .243 donated by Corlane Sporting Goods. Our 12 inch egg target eluded all but 16 of the 57 shooters here.

5 Shot Sporting Rifle is now complete! A lady who has never shot here before came out with the smallest group by 1/4 inch over the next man. The winners of the three categories Mens, Ladies and Junior were all under 8 inches. Don't let these small groups deter anyone from coming for a fun shoot or the big match next year the average for most of us is between 15-30 inches :)

We do have pictures from a few people. There are some on the Tweedsmuir Park Rod & Gun Facebook page. As soon as I can figure out how to put pictures on here I will post them as well.
