Browning HI-power MkIII with some mags and holster. It just doesn't get any better than a hi-power, reliable, accurate, feels and points freaking great. If you like newer stuff the XD40/XD9 are nice as well and leaves you with some change from $1000 to buy mags and ammo

I have to agree with HeadDamage on the grip of the Hi-Power, without question, it is the most ergonomically correct pistol ever made, and although I have one, I would go with either my 226 or my Glock 17, hands down!
