I'm setting up a 1000 yard hunting/tactical rifle and want target style turrets. I've never done this before. What would my lowest magnification range want to be to properly shoot that distance? I want lower profile turrets and the mark 4 offers that in a 3.5-10 power only and I was thinking about maybe getting away with that. Any other suggestions at that price range and lower? Thanks

Mark4 scopes are great. They come with m1 turrets -- .25 moa clicks -- fine adjustment, but slow, M3 turrets -- 1MOA adjustments fast, but coarse, and M2 turrets, which are .5 moa.
It is really a matter of what kind of shooting do you want to do, and what sort of precision/accuracy/portability you are wanting.
I have a leupold 3.5-10 with m3 turrets. Makes a great field scope. When shooting prone rested matches, I would prefer more magnification, and finer crosshairs though.
