I believe they said it was proprietary, but maybe they just meant the barrel nut and not the thread pitch. If that is true I want to change my handugard to a clamshell configuration at some point to lighten her up. I have no use for a fancy pants MLOK handguard.

heres the info from the hogue website....

"- 308 Rifles: There are two basic types of 308 "size" AR rifles, often referred to as DPMS or Armalite "compatible" rifles. The parts, magazines etc do not interchange. For an easy way to differentiate between the two styles of rifles, look at the rear bottom of the upper receiver. A DPMS compatible rifle has a rounded edge while an Armalite has an angled edge. We offer a coupler nut for both types. DPMS #15060 with a 1 7/16"-16 TPI and Armalite #15061 with a 1 7/16"-18 TPI."

So I am wondering if SFRC can get the info if it's either 1 7/16" - 16TPI...or 1 7/16" - 18TPI.......which would answer anybodys question if they could swap it out for somthing else.....for example the JRC has standard AR threading...hoping this has standard 308 AR threading also...

I had a set of hogue on a gun I sold a while back...man it was awesome...that overmoulded rubber round handguard is super solid and light as well as really nice to hold and aim, and the grip and buttstock are really well made and high quality... the ghilli green would look awesome complimenting the ODG color on the receiver upper/lower

It would be really helpful to get the skinny on the exact threading size, as im sure there are more out there who aren't m-lok guys...as well as ppl wanting to swap out some aftermarket "man lego" and make it your own....

sigh...now to wait :)

Perhaps this has been asked and answered already, but when does the general non-presale poulance get a chance to order one ?

Rifle looks very promising. Even if the rifle doesn't meet all it's promised premises in this first release, I would still be more than happy to buy it just for the principle of supporting the nascent Canadian rifle manufacturing industry. Well done indeed!

I am going to be wired for a couple of weeks until I have my precious in my hands.
