So there is a new mag well adapter hitting the market tomorrow .
You will be able to use Rem 597 mags in your 1022 .
The Rem 30 rnd factory mags are one of the worst mags out there .
Does anyone know of a good aftermarket 597 mag that works ?
There are 70 rnd promag drums for the 597 but do they work ?
Personally I'm waiting for the TUFF mags to hit the market

Tuff Mags will require milling to your 10/22 receiver though. I am curious about the product too

Reading that the Remington mags are Pcs OS makes me uninterested in the adapter.
Jamming and other stoppages take the fun out of a day at the range.
I will also wait for the Dlask Tuff magazines to be released.

Looking forward to hearing the reviews once people start trying them out .
Still going to go the TUFF mag route on my 4 1022's.
But since I have some 597's Ill probably pick up one of these adapters & try it out .
Would be nice if the 597 drum mags were readily available (if they work)

If this is about the SB adaptor then they’ve said the black plastic 597 mags are the problem but the clear ones feed and work fine, something to do with the type of plastic used in the black mags that allows the follower to bind up. I don’t even know why I know this as I don’t even have a 10/22, but anything to get around the rcmp ruling is good.

I'm trying the adapter first. It's only $30, easier than machining a receiver. And apparently works with clear Remington mags and promags.

Been there, done that with rem 597 High cap mags of different brands and they were NEVER reliable or consistent in the multiple 597s I have owned.
Maybe the 10 22 will like these mags better but I remain skeptical.
I have never tried the drums though.

It's unfortunate that the 2 companies that have come up with seemingly well thought out solutions to the 10//22 magazine capacity issue, both seem to have chosen magazines with a poor track record for reliability. I was not aware of the poor reliability of the Remington 20-30 round mags before now, however I can tell you first hand that the H3CR mags that Dlask have chosen to use are one of the worst 10/22 mags I have ever used. I sincerely hope that the HC3R mags have had some upgrades since I tried them a few years ago.

So It seems these do not work very well in the SR 22 .
Guys are saying you have to remove the mag with the adapter attached to the mag .
The mag release for the 597 mag is the issue as the sr 22 stock sits lower on the receiver .
I looked at my sr22 & regular 1022 & can definitely see what they are talking about
Guess I'll wait for version 2.0

Any more experience with using these to report boys?

I saw the promo video and literally went out and bought a 10/22 after hemming and hawing over one for ages.

Hope these work.

1st- It<s now officials, we have some of the most stupid gun laws around...

2nd- Since the BX-1 is one of the most reliable magazine around... I'll just buy a whole bunch more of them...
