1022 with Nordic chassis question.

Hey guys or gals could I get a bit of advice? This is my first try at putting together a rifle,so please be patient I have a Nordic chassis , Aluminum Tac Sol barrel and a ATI AR-15 civilian buffer tube assembly. My question is: what purpose do the spring and buffer serve ? I inserted the spring and buffer which was already inserted in the tube, into the back of the chassis and the screwed on the stock. Is this correct? It would appear to work with or without the spring and buffer. Thanks for any info .... Brian

Nothing - you don't need the spring & buffer for this application.

Ok ,googled it, it appears to be used in ARPlatform to help eject spent casing? On a side note, I tryed some wildcats but the rifle wouldn't eject the spent casings, I had to pry them out with a screw driver. Tryed some CCI and they seem to work fine.
