Can someone identify this shell casing for me? Its a rimmed case that looks like a giant .303 British case. Its over two feet long (approx. 26 inches) and 6 inches in diameter. Brass, weighs approx. 14 pounds. Marked on bottom 105 MM TK 04 and CAQ91D10-01.

Unfortunately, I've never paid much attention to this branch of ammo collecting. Are these big shell casings worth anything?

Looks like the 105mm from a tank gun.
Primer is the same anyway.

If you could read the old black ink stamp a bit better, perhaps we could tell what it held.

there fun to have and make a great conversation starter.
i had two but gave one to my father inlaw, he likes it.

I didn't think any of those made it to the civvie market anymore. I've seen a lot of old ones but none that new.

They make a nice umbrella stand by the door or a good inside flagpole stand if you cut a wooden donut to fit the mouth and then bore it out to the diameter of the flagpole.
These do sell at the gunshows. I've got a 17pdr case, a 20 pdr case and a 105mm tank gun case, kind of the progression of tank armament from the Sherman Firefly, thru the Centurion and the Leo 1.
