It is worth only what someone will pay for it. But it is A 105mm Howitzer brass casing. They make excellent bells. The primer stem will unscrew from the base inside thus making the clapper. I'd give ya 20$ for it, as I had given mine away years ago.

i collect shell casings and i will tell you that 105s are plentiful ...they average about 30.00-40.00 ....now if you have an unfired projectile and fuze they are worth more and btw if anyone has an unfired projectile or fuze please pm me ...sorry didnt mean to hijack

I have a number of them to go with my C-1 howitzer. I never pay more than $20, and quite often have picked them up in small quantities for $10 and $15. Living close to an artillery base makes them somewhat common in this neck of the woods.

I picked up a case with an inert shell and fuze for $5 at an auction about 4 miles up the road.

Quite so, my unit used to use one of these as a bar bell to signal when someone was buying a round for everyone!
