i would like to ask some one who knows. i have a chance to buy S&W 29 44 mag better than good shape sould i buy it and is 1,000.00 to much.

Is it made of gold:eek: ?? Yikes.. Seriously, it all depends on model number(variation of 29, eg 29-1, 29-2 etc), round count and special features if any..Seems pretty pricey for a 29 unless its new.Get more details and then add to your post.
Cheers
dB:)

Blued S&W Model 29 .44 mag 6" barrel, used but in vg+ to exc condition should only be around $650'ish....

Unless you want the 'collectibility' of an anniversary gun, you'd be better off to get a used normal one.

Collector guns don't usually command a premium in Canada, because most guys are shooters, not collectors!

$1000 for a 'better than good' shape 29 is WAAAAAY too much. Anniversary edition or not.

A more proper title would have been - "Price Check - S&W 29... what's it worth?" or something.

A forum thread of ??? IS in fact, useless. Don't be sorry, that IS the way I feel. :)

thanks for help i,am new to computers theres so much to no.

I almost skipped this post because the title did not indicate what it was about. A couple more words would not have hurt.

I have two model 29s. One 6" and one 10 5/8" barreled. Paid $400 for the 10" about 4 years ago from a dealer, very good condition. Paid $425 for the 6", like new condition with original box. Was unfired until the owner died, then the guy looking after the sale put a box of 50 through it.
