I was hoping there was something under the 18.5" that it could be cut to. Lol and that's the point. I want a thumper

If you want a thumper get a rabbit... Because a 10 gauge backpacker is a really dumb idea. Or you could try posting this in the other thread.

[Note: the following is a joke!]

Just cut down your 10ga as short as you wanna. Even if it's Prohibited, no cop in the world is going to get anywhere *near* you!

Gadzooks, a 10ga sodoff is a meat grinder (on _both_ ends).

And people PM me wondering why I don't post anymore. This is why.

I have a single shot cut down to 20". Even with the stock full of shot and a limbsaver pad it rattles you pretty hard. I'm very far from recoil sensitive but 5-6 2 1/4 oz shells are enough for me to switch to something else for the rest of my day.

I've got a single shot cut down to 19 inches. It's great but heavy as h3ll! I usually pack my SXS Outlaw because its lighter and if need be, I'd let both barrel go together.

Cool, by the sounds of it I'll just have to buy one and make it 18.5"+. I don't intend to use it for hunting, mostly entertainment for what is it. A big punch in the shoulder.
