put an ad in the classified
called the Calgary air rifle range but they were of no help to find one
there used to be a website for this kind of stuff but it is now defunct
have some nice FT rifles so running out of money to buy new
could maybe buy a Walter with the metal stock v]but not the high end FWB as they are now over 4 grand

any suggestions where to call. any businesses that have some used rifles like this

not plugged into the 10m scene so don’t know who to call, also Leary of getting some
crappy beat up rifle

years ago Calgary held the provincials for rimfire prone and standing and a guy could just wander down there and ask
but covid put a stop to that in 2020

any suggestions, don’t really want a cheaper wood stocked version, although a junior edition would be lighter

so is this sport pretty much over and just a few dozen shooters in Canada

was going to ask Nordic folks but don’t need a biathlon rifle, as nice as they may be

so even if you don’t know go watch the 10m World Cup finals on utube

neat stuff as they have scoring targets that show the score and the shot very soon after firing, very modern

and quite enjoyable to watch

Nordic Marksman is a seller on here with competition air rifles for sale.

sorry missed the line in your topic where you already talked about them.

The Calgary Rifle and Pistol Club is a shell of what it once was. Nice facility but that's about it. At one time it spawned a large percentage of the Canadian Olympic shooting team in both rifle and pistol. Now I think they have a very talented gal shooting air rifle which is great. It seems the present poobahs want to bury the clubs history. Very sad. It's become VERY cliquey.

We have a Hammerli AR20 in stock for about $1500, and just received a couple used Feinwerkbau 600 that should retail for about $1000 (just building them in the system now)

thanks but was looking for more of a modern Olympic model with the fore end
that is flat to the bottom of the stock like in the utube of the 10m standing finals

at 20 looks interest9ng but wanted to concentrate on FWB walther and maybe Annie but perhaps not a Annie unless priced right

Do you still have an old Steyr LG110 kicking around?
You could always get a sight kit for it...

Unless you are a very, very good shot, you'll do just fine with an older wood stocked model. Unfortunately, good used match air rifles and pistols are very hard to find in Canada. Since they're all under 500 fps, you could import one easily from the USA -- you'll see them offered for sale on Target Talk from time to time. It would need to be shipped with clear documentation that it shoots under 500 fps.

Yeah... But how much fun is that?

For a reason or another, I can't seemed to find the front sight tube on the Steyr's website.
But in the parts manual it shows: 34.1 Barrel cover complete 4106010502, or Barrel cover Light complete 4106010505

- 128 EUR from Euroshooting out of the Czech Republic

Otherwise, I'm sure somewhere makes a 16mm barrel extension

If you want a used one, pay attention to the air cylinder expiry date. Ask me how I know.

You cannot shoot a match with expired air cylinders, and potential buyers will quickly tag you on it if you try to sell one. So buyer beware.

put the Annie sights I had on it as the styer has a dovetail on,the front wrap around
was after 10pm so no time to shoot it and see if the sights would work
went to Calgary the next day and stopped by Henry’s place
he miked it and went to the basement to shoot it
said it would work just fine
asked how serious I was going to be
just using it at home basically
he said it would be fine

very short sight radius but it will work

wish those guys in the pics made a 630 thou extension but they replied to my email and said no

guess I could get some HD plastic, cut it in half or split it like ring reducers to make it work

will see but no room between the barrel and the air tube

Too funny, it never crossed my mind to try to mount a sight on that small section of rail on the front of the chassis, just went and check and low and behold, it works :) Always wondered what they had in mind for it.

As for the SE barrel extension tube carbon tube. You could always get your local machinist to make a small sleeve. ID 16mm OD 22mm...
How much room have ou got in front of the cylinder? You could always install a quick-fill on it, negating the need to remove for filling

But it would probably be cheaper to check with Miroslav Varga @ Euroshooting for the actual Steyr parts. (He's got it listed on his website)

Cibles Canada Targets in Gatineau sometimes has used high end air guns and stocks lots of parts.

Denis

called him and he said just email him, don’t call

he is getting really old in his ways

been around a long time but getting real hard to deal with
still sells lots as he sold 2 new FWB field target rifles to BC guys waiting for delivery now

could not get any answers from him lately

Have you tried looking over at 'Airgunforum .ca' ? There may be something there to interest you. And they have a WTB section also.
