10mm 1911

What's the going price on a Stainless Delta Elite now? I was just forwarded a link by a helpful CGN'er and I want a ball park on what I should be paying.

The last place that had one new was Arms East but I can't remember the price, I think the last one I saw on the EE the asking price was around $1400. There was a blued one last week, guy was asking $1200.

the delta elite is one of my favorites but can be hard to get your hands on. as stated, the sti perfect 10 is pretty badass. i was looking at a nighthawk 10 longslide that made me drool.

I've been bit by the 10mm bug as well. I just picked up a glock 20 but now I'm looking for a 10mm 1911 to go along with my .460 1911 project.

All I know is it is time to start reloading, good grief 10mm is expensive by the box.

If you don't reload your in for a surprise when you run a "real" 10mm load through it. Factory loads are not much better than .40 Short and Weak. Hope you've been picking up your brass ;)

There are a few places in Canada that seem to always stock 10mm Starline brass, more problematic may be finding powder right now, especially Longshot or Blue Dot.

I have an STI Sentry I bought in .40 and had it converted to 10mm with a trigger job. Best purchase I have ever made.

Absolute laser pistol. Ring steel at 100m all day long without even trying - seriously.

P&D in Edmonton has had new Winchester brass in stock for the last 6 months or so. I've picked up 400 pieces from them so far :)
I use 800x and luckily bought 4 pounds of it the last time I made my yearly Higginson's order with my buddies, still got lots left as I don't shoot the 10mm very often.
I hate losing 10mm brass so I don't shoot it as often as the 45 or 9mm.

Budget and Rusty Wood appear to be out of stock, Higginson's lists it but I'm not sure if it's in stock or if they just carry it.

Wow.... That Para and STI are stunning.

..and to think that I was pondering a Glock lol

I've only shot a 10mm once (G20). It put me in mind of a .357 magnum. Wicked fun

Love mine., accurate as anything and shoots like a dream. only thing that sucks is the availability of 10 mm ammo.

So I bought the stainless Colt Delta Elite... now the waiting begins! Crappy thing is I tipped off my friend to a supplier who had some 10mm ammo and he bought all 12 boxes. Now I got to go hunting for it lol!

Buy some brass and reload, plus shooting factory 10mm is like shooting 40S&W.

Congrats, you will love it ... one of the most accurate guns in my stable. Bite the bullet (pun intended) and buy a box or two of 10mm ... but to save a buck you can also shoot .40 with no problem ... at least mine does and it is totally stock.

I've used Tripp, Wilson Combat and Mec Gar 10mm mags. Tripp and Mec Gar were great, never had a problem with them, the Wilson Combat on the other hands were garbage, I always had problems with them.

These have been quite good for me...
