10mm auto re-loads

I noticed it always us in the little 10mm club.....

HI BOYS!!!

Anyways I have some freekin super hot loads for my Glock20, I keep it in my briefcase in Panama, 10 mags and one in the gun..... I have the attachable stock and VFG for it too so snap snap its a carbine if i need it

This is probably the best all around gun ever
 
I would also like to get some 10mm data for my glock 20,as i'am getting bulging (enough to toss it after 1 load)even on new brass and velocities lower than i had hoped for.I didnt find as much info as i had hoped on those other sites.

Get an aftermarket barrel and a heavier recoil spring. Both are very good to have with top end 10mm loads.
 
Lone wolf makes a good product, Storm Lake as well. As for springs I am not even sure what I have on my gun :redface:. It is a 22 lbs spring though, stock is 17 lbs. I got a stainless recoil rod too. Not necessary but I like it. I think 22 lbs is a good compromise between resistance and reliability. I am judging that off 2nd hand accounts though...

Well, no one has posted anything yet (i.e. data).

I'm using Hodgdon Longshot w/ 180gr Hornady XTP's. The max load listed on Hodgdons site is 9.5gr of LS with this combination (New Winchester Brass and Winchester Large Primers - 32mm OAL).

I haven't had much range time or experimentation beyond this.
I'd like to hear what people are loading and with what barrels :)

Gives me an average of 1350fps out of a 4.6" Lone Wolf SS match barrel. It is a bit over max so work up carefully. Noobs love it, I hate being next to it on the firing line though!

My Glock will swallow anything, but the Colt doesn't like the 175 grain hollowpoints. I seem to remember shooting 200 grain, jacketed cone bullets, back when I first owned a 10mm. I've been away from shooting for quite a while, and most people seem to go with the smaller bullets now. I wish I'd kept the specs from back then, but I sort of lost track.

I'm thinking of a 200 grain bullet at around 1100 fps?
 
Be careful and work your way up to those. They are damn near max power for stock Glocks. I tell ya though, when you touch one off, you damn well know ya touched one off.:D
I have heard of guys shooting 180grain bullets to 1400fps but that's way over max load. They are probably shooting the 6" aftermarket barrels. Slower powder, more chamber support etc.
 
I didn't realize you were using a stock Glock Mercury. How is case life? I went straight for an aftermarket barrel when I started reloading so I haven't experienced the "smiley".
 
With those loads I didn't actually get any full on smileys:), but I did get a noticeable bulge where it's unsupported. I also have an aftermarket Stormlake barrel and I use it exclusively for the nuclear 10mm loads.
 
I'm partial to a mild load of 6.5grs WSF and a 180 FMJTC for plinking and matches, or my "zesty" load of 8.5grs Power Pistol under same said bullet. Brass is whatever I can get, mostly RP Nickel plated and FC, with the odd Winchester or Midway tossed in for funzies.

The Power Pistol load is enough to run the web between my thumb and trigger finger raw when shooting (time for a beavertail grip safety? Yep!) Lotsa noise and fire too. Recoil is noticeable, and when running mixed mags for the "unwashed" it makes for alot of smiles and laughs from everyone, even the shooter.
 
Ain't just the Glock barrels that are unsupported. I got some nasty bulges/smiles in my 1006 and Delta Elite.

The only 10mm gun I trust with hot loads is my 610.
