10mm auto re-loads

Maybe us 10mm Nutz should lobby greentips for our own 10mm forum....:D

After all, the 10mm enthusiasts are the guys that really understand what a handgun cartridge should be.....:p

I'm sure that Camp Cook, B, Strangeday, mikjk, kaolarka, G37, Mercury0_0, boxcoach, Grizz Axxemann, Cerdan, and many others would support it as well as Billy The Kid!:D

Something even better than 10mm?

I love my G20 and 10mm loads, but lately been reading about 9x25 Dillon. How about moving a 115gr 9mm out of a necked down 10mm case at speeds of 1800+ fps? Or a 90gr bullet over 2000fps? That seems tooooooooooo good to pass up. Once I get back to the hobby (lost job due to recession) I'm totally ordering the dies from Dillon, a barrel and loading some screamers.

One load I got off the glocktalk that is considered a 'mild' load states 14gr of H110 over large magnum primers on a 115gr 9mm bullet...

Can't wait to try that one...................

I am truly embarrassed that I didn't include 'jawsman' in the above mentioned 10mm fans!

After all, I have his quote in my sigline!:D

Should we have a 10mm forum?

speak up guys!:D

Here's some pics to get things going.

Thanks for the tips. I started shooting 10mm in the late 80's. I've shot others, but the 10mm seems to make the most sense.

I ran some 135 Sierras over the chrony today. I had a start charge of 13.5 up to 14.5 in .2 increments. I didn't make it past the first string as I was getting the speed I should have got with 14.5! These are pretty crazy speeds for a 4.6" bbl.

Lots of unburnt powder, how fast are you guys going with 135s?

I have interest in the 10mm. It sounds better than sh!tty ###. I'm thinking Glock 20c.

I am however concerned with the price of ammo, and availability. I plan on buying a press soon... but until then?

Depends where you're at. I've never had trouble finding your basic 180gr. American Eagle stuff (even at a store that sells mainly fishing and hunting gear!), as well as a box of Remingtons now and again. Just a tad more expensive than .45ACP.

But really, just start handloading.

Ya, hand loading is my top priority, I just can't find a Hornady LNL AP in stock anywhere, might have to make a trip down south.

I guess if I do decide to go 10mm, I can deal with the high price of factory ammo for a couple months. It will provide me with some brass for when I do get setup. I'm a fan of American Eagle, is there any recommendations between companies in regards to quality of brass?
