10mm goodness

That's about what I had for blue dot, in all about 35lbs of powder was lost and I didn't even get to watch the fireball! I have noticed that 800x is still relatively available if you look hard enough. I grabbed 3lbs from a small "shop" that was actually just some guys basement.

I am ready for a 10mm then, I have most of an 8 pound can of 800X I bought years ago for heavy field 12 gauge loads.

OPs load of 10.5 Blue Dot under the XTP is my exact load for my G20. Just works and shoots really well. I chose Blue Sot when I started over 800X as I found it "felt" nicer to shoot. I have no other way to explain it better. Just felt better....

I've got em at 12.5 grains of Blue Dot, with the 155 XTP!

Step it up haha! Safely though!

Don't know if you guys saw the thread I posted on the rumoured release of a 6" long slide Gen 4 Glock 40 in 10mm (40 cal) at the 2015 Shot Show.

Since I blew the top of my 6" Barsto barrels chamber out of the slide ejection port with that double charge I have been dreaming about having a 6" long slide in 10mm.

Plan is when I get my now 3 year old company/crew to the point that I can head off prospecting with an ATC again this G40 (has a laser/light rail and red dot mount) along with my stainless Kimber with Crimson Trace laser and my 4.25" Ruger SRH in 454 Casull that I would want along.

I'm thinking (not sure yet) that I may possibly be posting my ubber reliable Gen 3 Glock 20 with 5" stainless KKM barrels in 10mm & 40S&W and a Advantage Arms 22LR conversion kit for it on the EE and putting the monies away for when they are released.

If not I'll apply to get my really compact Gen 3 G29 onto the ATC here it is with Lone Wolf extended barrel and a mag extension second pic is with a G20 mag and Pearce mag grip spacer.

Found a pic of the Kabboom = not much to see only damage was the barrel and it popped the metal Delta emblem off the grip Gunnar at Armco fixed it up for me with my factory 5" barrel.

Just blew the top of the chamber off and the mag out of the bottom.

Shot barely felt any different than any other shot I actually didn't realize it blew up until the next trigger pull didn't fire a round.

When I looked at the gun I was totally amazed cause I figured all I had was a jam.

If I remember correctly = this happened back in 2006 that is a piece of brass sticking up at the rear of the chamber.

hey guys
I dont recognize any of the powders mentioned when you are talking loads for the 10mm
so I went and dug out my 10mm loading manual and most mentioned here are listed
question is do any of you use hodgdon HS-6 or Winchester 231
that's what I have from way back when

HS-6/win 540 is suitable but you won't get top velocities. I have a pound I'm going to try out sooner or later. I hear it burns a bit dirty.

My apologies, I thought it was power pistol powder.

Power Pistol is too bulky to double up, and the charges are generally pretty big. My mid range load (literally in the middle of starting and max) is 7.4grs and it fills up a LOT of case. If I find another can of it I'll make a point of double charging a case for photo reference.

My 10mm plinking powders are #7/#9/Blue Dot if you want top 10mm performance you will need to get your hands onto some IMR800X... You will need to weigh out each load individually for consistency but when you let these loads loose you will finally know what a 10mm can really do and why I can unequivocally call it the most powerful standard production semi-auto rounds in existence. I've been loading 10mm since spring of 1988 was there when all of the load developement was being done by Mike McNett oh yeah there is nothing like a properly loaded 10mm.

So what are your favorite hot loads with 800X? I'm going to start reloading 800X this week and any tips would be great.

Sorry to go off topic but I wanted to ask about the sights on your Delta. What are they and where did you get them.
I have the factory fixed 3 dot and I 'm looking for an adjustable rear and fiber optic front.
Thanks

My Delta came with fixed sights had Joe at Dlask Arms Corp install his adjustable rear and a taller front post.

I do not have a fiber optic front sight on my Delta.
