and as NAA stated about the Colt DE's (which are excellent guns!), a few of the early ones had some issues but I believe you'd be very happy with the fit, finish & accuracy of a Bren Ten if you ever get a chance to scoop one up.
And what, Glock 20 doesn't have a history of cracking?
I remember enough references on the net about that, but I didn't experience any first hand and I didn't see any either.
I had 2, one was an early model without fingergrooves. I wish I kept one.
I also had 2 Delta Elites. Nice guns.

Back in the days when the Delta Elite first hit the market, I had purchased one, did a few mods, beavertail, ambi, heavy wolf recoil spring and the thing performed flawlessly with both factory ammo and reloads, that and my Detonics Scoremaster in are the 2 that got away that I regret the most

I don't swap barrels but rather the entire slide. Got a G20 top end on the EE and a few mags to go with it. Great caliber but I've got to get some dies and start reloading before I shoot any more 10mm. My local shop sells the dirty bird in 10mm for $26.99 a box.
Prices like that make baby Jesus cry.Considering .40 bullets are reasonably priced hand loading should cut costs considerably. Good luck in making your choice but you can go wrong with any 10mm IMHO.
Another bonus with a Glock is you can get a LWD conversion barrel to allow you to run cheap .40 S&W for under $100 US....

I have owned two 10mm's (both Colt Delta Elites),one stainless ,the other and first one being blued.I've given each gun a fair diet of hot handloads early on but decided later to dedicate the stainless model to reduced loads using Wolf Truncated Cone lead bullets @ 950 f.p.s. max to avoid lead fowling in the bore.The blued model was customised also with the usual bells & whistles found on most race guns.Most importantly though is the issue of slide battering when using the extremely hot ammo that Norma of Sweden had originally loaded at the 10MM's debut for example.I believe that the current crop of factory ammo available(it's also declining in sales) is relatively safe in most quality guns,Colt's included.But the slide battering itself can be easily remidied by installing one-piece extended guide rods and the "shock-buff" system made by Clark,Ed Brown etc. I'm going on 20 plus years of 10MM auto fun and My Colts are up to the test.And as the guy said,"Colt, best damn government ever"
