I bought it blind, and went into it with a bad taste in my mouth from 3 (also Philippine made) SAM guns I've had come and go.

Quality of the Armscor stuff is much nicer, based on this one gun. Everything it tight and well fit.

Mecgar mags are giving me the hold-open issues. OEM mag works fine.

I'd buy again.
 
If I were to choose one I'd go for the colt 1911 delta elite with rail. Purely for the aesthetics of it to be honest. I have no personal experience with the 10mm though its something I would like to have someday.

It is possible to get one, but you will need to order one from your local SIG dealer. Both the DA/SA and SAO models are excellent.
 
A longslide 1911 makes a awesome 10mm platform.
Fully supported Bull barrel even better!
Not a fan of 10mm in a standard 5in 1911 ......need the extra slide/barrel mass to tame recoil and take advantage of the velocity...tames blast too.

It is the only platform I have experience with in 10mm.

Love the cartridge.....IF only we could pistol hunt.... :(
Makes a very expensive/loud paper puncher.... :(:(

All the Grand Power pistols auto forward. With the P40, you can buy the 40 S&W model and get a spare 10mm barrel and magazine. The 40 S&W mags have a spacer spot welded into the back of the mags so you can't use them for 10mm.
 
I have a 1990s delta elite stainless in 10mm. Intended to not fire it as its such a beautiful gun but ended up putting 2 mags thru it and my buddy got a scratch on it... its fun and snappy but im sad now because of the scratch. I will most definitely be getting another 10mm im more comfortable shooting!
 
My first gun was a G20. Lots of fun but after picking up a Colt Delta Elite (my first 1911), the Glock was sold. My new favourite 10mm is the Smith and Wesson 610. I love the versatility of the 10mm/.40S&W platform.
