You N E E D to handload ...Nothing like a +p+ load of Bluedot in 10mm.

What optic are you running on the 40?

Its next on my purchase list....but I want an optic where its co-witnessed with I.S.
Factory 10mm can be had at 1350fps according to SAAMI.. Not sure if you want to shoot 1700fps +p ammo.. Be cool to see. Wonder if you can get a 10mm 115grain and push it like 2000 fps

Have fun. Definitely post a report. Where did you find your ammo? I sourced some 220gr BB from Wanstalls but they did not have any 180 or 200.

I have a pair of G20's that I find snappy. My P220 Elite in 10mm is a dream to shoot...I have an EAA Witness that is also very comfortable (but Large)...... However by far my favourite 10mm is my Smith 1076.

no optics yet.
i run a Deltapoint on my M&P and i love it because it co-witnesses great, but the G40 will not co-witness with the stock sights, so i want to pick up some sights that will co-witness before i pick up some optics for it.

my dad was ordering in a bunch of ammo for his rifles and 460Rowland and his 460S&W so i tacked on a couple boxes of 10mm.
so short answer it was imported.

a buddy of my dads offered him a Smith 1076 and he still hasnt gone for it.
i tell him he is crazy, that gun would be ideal for 10mm, im sure.

S&W are great 10mm...if you can handle the 6lb trigger pull.

Very true. I picked up a 1006 not too long ago. Still haven't shot it because it is BNIB (don't think I can resist much longer) but off the top i would tweak a couple things if it was a shooter: trigger and grips. It is definitely a service trigger which is fine for that purpose (and as a collector of course) but as a range toy it is a little heavier than the norm these days. The stock polymer grips are fine just too small for my average sized hands which was a bit of a surprise. I can see it inflicting some pain after a longish session.

You could be loading ammo to the same specs or better for much, much less money.

almost there.
picked up a press last year.
got the dies.
got the brass.
just need a couple odd pieces then ill start doing some reloading.

wanted to try some nice hot factory loads until then, see what they feel like!
