Yes if you get stopped on the US side. Canada Customs just wants a declaration of your purchase.

I plan on eventually rolling my own as you’re correct. Seems like most places only have American eagle at a buck a round. IRUNGUNS had some but they seem to be running low. I have a TD GA carbine and a newly purchase Super Redhawk 10mm <3

I was even lucky enough to find some at Canadian tire once, but so expensive. "SFRC" also has some. I roll my own as well. Start with a few thousands pieces of Starline brass from "Double Tap".

It’s not Canadian law you are breaking it is US export law. If stopped before the border and caught you face up to 5 years in a US prison.

ITAR has everything to do with gun stuff leaving the US.

Canada doesn't care, as long as it isn't prohibited by law

get caught as a non US resident leaving the US with it and you are smuggling contraband out of the US. You have been lucky so far.

if you think it isn't illegal, visit the CBP office leeaving the US and tell them you are taking ammo you purchased locally back into Canada and tell usyour resilt.

Only at airports on Canadian soil that CBP operate in, but not like you will go far if you run a roadblock and they are chasing you with their lights on. I think CBSA will process you a little differently

I don't think you are following.If you crossed from the States in a vehicle with the Americans in pursuit ,they can legally continue the pursuit into Canada .They haven't shot anyone yet but it could be interesting if they do.This came from a Mountie friend of mine.
