I was wondering if I could have some input on this scope. I want to use it on a .22lr training rifle to practice ranging and engaging targets at unknown ranges.
I understand it has a fixed paralax, is that going to really hurt me using it at 75-250 yards?
Would it be even useable at 50 yards?
Is the retical thin enough to be able to hit a 4"x4" plate out to 250 yards?
People seem to really like these for the price and I have a line on one used for a really decent price, so long as it will fit my requirements.
Thanks,
Grant

I have a 5-15 has the same turrets as the 10x. I've also owned the 10X. Nice scope for the money. Barrett sells his some of his 50 BMG's as a package deal with the Bushnell 10X if that gives you any idea of their durability.....

had mine on my cooey 64 when i first got it for the same reason... at 50 i seem to recall being able to see the holes i was making in a paper target.. you can clearly see .30cal holes in paper at 100 as well...

with my eye's i could see from about 30yrd's on... the world look's alot more polluted thru a 10x tho.... "blue haze" man...

Mine has been used for load testing on over a dozen different rifles without a problem. It was used on my 50 BMG till my 8.5x25 Leupold arrived.
After that I put it on my 308 Tikka and took 2nd place in my first and only F-class match.
For the price I think its hard to beat....

I've used my 10X mildot on my CZ452 Silhouette and at 25m things are a little fuzzy. I can still shoot 3" steel plates, but I would love a side focus. That's why I've put my 3200 10x Mildot on my .223 dedicated earth pig hunter for the 100m plus shots. At 50m the crosshairs were just a tiny bit fuzzy, but good enough for nearby groundhog shots from the kneeling or standing position.

This is one of those scopes where I would advise to avoid buying ONE. Instead get TWO of them, just like our CGN sponsor dealer CanAm (up above).

As many of you know, I have competed for over 10 years at sniper matches and won many medals using Leupold Mark4's. I particularly love the ONE single set screw (3/32") to slip your scales (you experienced and trained snipers know what I'm talking about... ). For you newbs, that's when you have completed your 100m zero (or any other know distance) and then loosened the set screw, and then aligned the scales / index to THAT range. In my case my 100m zero is indexed at "0" value. Or simply put, my rig is zeroed for 100m. :D

I love the 3200 Elite 10x mildot turrets for this reason. At $ 200, buy a couple!! :D This is one great scope for the M14 by the way!! Keeps the M14 and tactical habits affordable.

Life is good,
Barney

If you're shooting at 100 yards out to 250 yards the fixed parallax is not a big deal. Where you will notice parallax error is below 100 yards.

These scopes are a bargain for what they are. I have two, the last I bought in used like new condition for $150 all in.

Has anyone ever got the parallax changed to about 50-75 yards for use on rimfires? I can see it being a fun little scope in a gopher patch, and it is small enough to look good on a sporter .22 or maybe a 17HMR.

There's Barney with what I've alway scalled "Hungryitis". Buy 2 - to go with the 2 M305s you'll buy. Come to think of it, 2 might not be enough!

I bought mine from Hungry.

Well I've found one in alright shape used. Not perfect, and the objective has a few small scratches. I mainly want it for a .22 trainer that I will be dragging around with me to practice ranging/dialing in as previously stated.

I might get it, really depends on finances. They seem pretty common so I might just wait around until another pops up for a decent price.

I might also just save-up for a variable with A/O. But really for the price I'm sure I can find something to put it on.
Thanks,
Grant

I am really thinking about buying one of these for my 10/22 to get mil dot ready. Probably will take it off the .22 and toss it on the next rifle I buy too.

I can n ot say enough about these, still only 250 bucks and you can throw them against a wall.

I have them on some long range guns for that reason, my 30-378 and 7mm Rum, will be buying 2 more likely in a few weeks

This is like a love in for the 3200. The 3200 is a great scope for the price, but not for rimfire. You should consider something with an adjustable parrallax so that you can use the scope at various ranges.
