11.5 inch barrels on AR15's and there flash hiders/flash supressors?

The old A2 birdcage just isn't doing it



What flash hider/flash supressor would tame this down a bit? It's wicked loud and spitty

well if you want to calm the noise down a KX3 will work as it will direct the noise directly downrange and it takes some of the fireball away..... and what it does not take away it directs down range.

I like the smith vortex myself.... it seemed to work well on my 11.5" the KX3 to me was a little bit of a gimmick and the cone does need to be replaced after awhile as well.

I have the Armalite comp on mine and it seems to work great.

comp's are louder as they direct gas backwards.

I had a A2 flash hider on it and my son and I both agree that the comp makes the rifle more controllable and noise is no different.

Doesn't really help the noise, but it looks cool.

Smith enterprises break on mine. Loud but no muzzle jump what so ever!

All shorties unless they have a can should have a vortex


KX3 actually makes a larger fireball.

I have a Vortex on mine currently, but I'm thinking about swapping it out for a Phantom 5C1 to get a bit of a more traditional look, while still retaining good flash suppressing abilities.
