11.5" pencil barrel?

Talk to CTCS maybe? They import from Rainier and Rainier is listed as a BCM exporter.

J&T also make 11.5" pencil barrels and I've seen some of their stuff up here. Not sure who the distributor is though.

Did anyone track down a supplier? I'm in need of a pencil barrel that I can have cut down and re-threaded to 10" for a Colt 607 retro build.

You can't legally shorten a barrel any shorter than 457mm (18")

You need to get a 10" barrel and have it trimmed down in dimensions and refinished, or get a barrel maker like Herron Arms to manufacture you a 10" barrel to your specifications.

For the 11.5" barrels though; Faxon firearms makes some nice button rifled & nitron finished barrels in 10.5, 11.5 and up in a lightweight profile; the 11.5 has a .625" gas block size. Rainier Arms is a major carrier of Faxon, and CTCSupplies does the import thing from Rainier Arms.

Your not altering a firearm, your buying a barrel and having it cut. A barrel is not regulated by itself.

Well....half right.

a firearm that is adapted from a rifle or shotgun, whether by sawing, cutting or any other alteration, and that, as so adapted,

is less than 660 mm in length, or
is 660 mm or greater in length and has a barrel less than 457 mm in length,

Right on the RCMP website. If you shorten past it 18" through any means, other than factory parts, it's prohibited.
