110 fp barrel touching

It got it today and I notice the barrel is touching the stock right at the end.

can I adjust the action or Should I just sand the stock where touching..

Sand paper wrapped around a broomstick or wooden dowel will take care if it ina hurry. I suggest you shoot it first to see how it shoots. Then sand out the hump and try again. Some rifles shoot better free floated, some don't. You can always put the hump back in with a dab of JB Weld.

Where is it touching? Make sure all the stock screws are tight first. If it's on the side, sand then seal the barrel channel with wood sealer.

"...a synthetic stock?..." Jimminy Crickets, it does too. Gotta quit not looking at sites and ass/u/ming. No need for wood sealer, of course. Mind you, if it's a new rifle, I'd take it back. The bedding is off a tick and shouldn't be. Nor should you have to do anything to a new rifle. I'd still make sure the screws are tight first though.

As maynard said, sand the stock. Do you notice this with a bi-pod attached and not when holding by hand? The low cost stock helps keep the price down but it can easily be sanded. It will be more expensive and time consuming to mail it than to fix it.

I'd fix it simply because its a common problem and the next stock might be the same. Sand ample clearance and especially right at the tip of the stock where it won't be so unsightly and noticed. Be cognizant of the fact that the action my move around in the stock and what is clear at the moment, may not be next time you shoot the gun. Bedding the action might be a good move.

I take it you are talking about a Savage.and if you are they are set up that way,they seem to shoot better that way, try it first and see how it shoots you might be surprised.
