1100-1187 charging handles interchangeable?

Hey all,

I'm pretty sure I know the answer already, but just want to confirm the 1100 and 1187 tactical charging handles are interchangeable.... the corn field claimed mine last season....grrrr...

They should be the same.

IIRC the very early 1100's used a different retainer than the current models. Most Op Handles have both systems built in, a divot on the bottom for the old style and a notch on the rear edge for the current style.

Thanks Lodi. I thought I was losing what little memory I have left. Older 1100 had a different action bar and operating handle, second design guessing around 84 or so new style action bar and handle same as 1187. latest replacement handles have the dual feature to fit old and new. Correct????

Yes, for factory Remington. I'm not sure about aftermarket makers though.

Excellent... thanks all... I ordered a few from BBB last night. Like I mentioned I lost mine carrying decoys and ducks out of a corn field last year.... talk about a needle in a haystack! All good now tho.... hopefully they will be here in a few so I am ship shape for October 1st....
