Hey guys i was just curious of where some of you get stuff for your 1100 shotguns. Also on another note. Would 870 shotgun tube extensions and bayonet lugs and such fit on the 1100s? Looking at doing a project shotgun and just wondering if i can get what i need for the 1100 or if i should go with a mossberg 930. Thanks in advance for your time and advice!

I had Casey at Tactical Ordnance install a Dave's Metal Works Easyloader on my 1100- a very worthwhile modification.

Is your gun a Magnum or 2 3/4" model? If a Magnum, then you can have an extension on it that will hold 5.9 3" shells(as long as the receiver is marked Magnum), as long as 6 will not go in. If it's a 2 3/4" gun, then you can only have a max of 5 shells in the mag.

Yes, 870 extensions fit right up...but you have to keep the mag cap law in mind when setting length. You can use a longer extension for looks and internally permanently plug it to legal capacity.(not something that can be removed easily)

A Magnum barrel has only 1 gas hole and will not usually reliably cycle lighter shells. But most 2 3/4" barrels have 2 holes and will better work with lighter shells.

Your gun may well need a new action spring...they get compressed and shorter and thus the potential for hammering of bolt into receiver exists. Worth replacing that. In the process, clean out the tube the spring goes through with a .38 pistol brush and degrunge it.

Stocks and forends are not plentiful...personally I preferred the looks of the original items and stuck with them. You do see the odd Choate stock with pistol grip etc if you look around.

The 1100's are great and very durable guns.
