1100 Slug Gun

Gentlemen: I am trying to save myself some time and money here. Has anyone here any experience with a Remington model 1100 12 ga with a rifle sighted smooth bore slug barrel. (remington factory barrel) What I am looking for is which factory slug ( Rem Win Brenneke) has the potential to perform the best. Barrel length is 21" . Any suggestions? I know the sabot style do not do well in a smooth bore.

I personally have pretty good results with remington sluggers. I use 3" in a 22" smooth bore with imp cyl choke. I have sliced open afew different brands of slugs and remingtons are all afew thousands bigger which make better contact of the rifling on the slugs and a better gas seal. Brenneke and or challengers are my second choice.

Use the Brenneke 2 3/4" slugs... the 1 1/8th ounce slug is absolutely the best performer for accuracy and stopping power.
