I have a 2 chamber oil/solvent bottle with my sks. What oil and solvent do YOU carry in yours?

None... have no need to. Just use my regular gun cleaning kit that I use for all my rifles. If you want just use what you normally use for gun cleaning in it. Most have no use for them, they go into the closet and are forgotten.

That oil in there is a bit corrosive, I used old tooth brush to spread the oil and that tooth brush melt away after a few months, but the rifle is fine.

I don't put anything in them, although I have a couple that are partially still filled with some oil. I just toss them in the drawer with the other stuff.

I fill one side of compartment with solution of soapy water, the other with oil.

As others noted, I just ran my sks at the club and cleaned it once I got home. Since I liked to shoot corrosive, it needed more extensive cleaning at home and I like to run my red guns as dry as possible, so no use for the oil bottle.

I have several bottles that have come with the rifles I've bought and a couple I just picked up on their own or with a cleaning kit. All but one are just kept in a box with all the cleaning kits from various red rifles and the one is filled with Hoppe's 9. Like the vodka idea too.

agreed. That being said, a two sip flask is better than no sip.
Just think, you can freak out other red rifle owners when you take a swig from the oil bottle... LOL

Mixture of Windex, dish washer detergent, water and some car wash soap. That's my latest mixture to combat corrosive resedue after chinese ammo.

Interesting. Does anyone know what they used for solvent? I can fill one side with hoppes, I was thinking I'd be better with windex to cut the corrosive salts in one side.
