12.5 Grizz upgrades, Post your pics!

I received my 12.5" non-mag fed with wood stock today. I swapped my 18.5" barrel from my mag fed with it.

Mag fed has the Mesa Tactical stock including the enidine buffer tube. Just working on the sight situation now.

Mesa Leo with the Enidine buffer
Surefire 318LM fore end
Scattergun tech tritium ghost rings
S&J Jumbo safety and Delrin mag follower
Parked and painted
Not shown is the 6 shot Mesa saddle
TacOrd gets credit for all work and sourcing aside from the S&J stuff.

Nice, Im thinking of the same Mesa stock conversion, except that buffer is way too expensive where I have seen it.

Did you get yours in Canada?

They are pricey! It's hard to buy the enidine buffer tube separately because of some stupid import laws. I had initially bought the Mesa stock without the enidine buffer tube by mistake for my Mossberg 590 A1 SPX. I managed to find the enidine tube on it's own from GPTactical but I know Casey at Tacord also had a few come in recently. I bought a second kit including the enidine tube from Casey so now I have one on my 590 and my Grizzly.

They are nice! I like to use the excuse that they are for wifey but I am spoiled by them now. :p

I also have the Knoxx recoil reducing stock on my 870. It may not be as expensive or as good quality but even though it's spring operated, as opposed to the hydraulics of the Mesa, it reduces at least just as much recoil as the Mesa. I do prefer the Mesa though.

When you put on the Duracoat, did you rub off the old finish with steel wool?

Thanks

When I purchased the Duracoat I also purchased a bottle of blueing remover.
Dissasembled the gun and soaked major components in the solution for 20 minutes prior to rinsing in very hot water. Finish of my DA came off surprisingly easy.

Also bought a bottle of parkerizing solution and submerged all the parts in this prior to hot water rinse. Painted gun per instructions.

It was pretty easy and the finish has been pretty durable.

Didn't need to parkerize it prior to painting but I had never tried it before and this was an excuse to experiment (Blue removal, Parkerizing, Duracoating).

try to flip it upside down if not that then upside down and backward

I've tried every position imaginable and believe me the shell won't stay in place, and another negative thing is the weight! The grizzly mag weight around 10.2 pounds, with that setup it weight 13 pounds... That’s heavy!

try doing isometrics you wont notice 13lbs after a while

Haven't posted in forever so here it is once again. Entire stock internals, just the CAA M4 stock and cheapo pistol grip.

Shooting 2 3/4 & 3" slugs at 200-225 yards with mild elevation. Cant wait to get optics

Did you use Molle to hold the 12 gauge shells? Awesome.
