Hey guys, I know this ain't the hunting forum, but I figure this is where most Grizzly owners poke around.
I have a few shotguns that would probably be better candidates for grouse hunting, but I'm wondering what your experience has been if you've ever taken the same Grizzly I have, out for some chicken-shooting. I recently purchased a full choke tube for it, but unless I can get friendly with the sights, I can't see ever taking one in flight/on the wing. I'm open to the idea of buying an even tighter tube, even taking the Knoxx S.O. pistol grip stock off in favor of a traditional one. Just interested in peoples experience, and whether or not I should whittle the front sight-off and get a bead put on there. Zombies will have to be dealt with by someone else.
If you're inclined to suggest I just buy an 870 Express, I've already got an old Remington 11-48 that will do just fine if the Grizzly reports aren't promising. I have a matching 11-48 in 28 gauge that would be a nice option too. Just enjoying the pumps too much.
