12(6) Owners- What's Your Age?

I'm 48 and have 5-6 prohibs - a couple of little Beretta's, a PPK, a 1910, etc. Shoot them regularly, and we have a "prohib show and tell" night at our club every year that I really look forward to!

All of these guns need to go underground rather than be surrendered for destruction. If they don't, we will be guilty of a travesty as great as making them 'prohibs' in the first place.

I'm turning 43 and missed out on the 12.6 train because I wasn't disciplined enough to save up the $800 I needed to buy that S&W ASP I coveted. I also didn't get in on the NFA "buy a junky 12.6 via mail order" program because I was in process of getting a LE job and didn't want the heat. Too bad; I'd love to own an "Arrizabalaga Terrible" like my friend picked up when he ordered one!!!!!!

As such, I'm now relegated to 12.7s passed down through my Father-in-Law to my wife, to me. That said, I now have a raft of those.

I keep dreaming that one day, rational thought will prevail and classifications will be eliminated...

Get out of this 12(6) thread you whippersnapper! J/K

I'm 48 so that makes us the "young guys". Back in '95 it was predicted that eventually the handful of 12(6) licensed owners remaining would own 1000's of prohibs. Now many people have discovered that a lot of our prohibs are worth good money in the US, so that's where some of them are ending up. We all know that's a one way trip and only helps the government get rid of these horrible Saturday Night Specials.

If I go before you, you can have all mine!

My first was a S&W 625 3". Most recent is a PPK I just bought on the EE.
I'm 47, us young guys will be the last of the "mohicans" sitting atop our pile of prohibs.
I had a guy at the range ask me if I adopted him if he would inherit all my prohibs. I didn't know how to answer that but thought "what a good question"

49 going on 12 (according to my wife). 1 prohib in my collection at the moment, an MEB 25 auto. Not very practical but I can't help giggling when I shoot it.

64 next birthday & I have 10 prohib handguns, I think!:jerkit:

A couple of S&W model 65-5 in 3", & a model 64-1 in 4"
3 ruger single six guns in .32 H&R mag chambering.
A Taurus model 76 & a S&W model 31-1, & a colt police positive, & these shoot the 32 S&W Long cartridge.
Oh & I almost forgot my sweet little Walther .32 acp.

Okey edited to state after careful consideration, if I still have them & if I live to age 80 & with my right mind I will put all your names in a hat & give them away to ya'll with the 12(6) endorsement of course! This hopefully will extend their life a bit & let some of you enjoy them like I do/did!
