12.7 recommendations

Correct me if wrong please but if directly related to a 12(6) then pre 1946 can be transfered as 12(7).

That being the case - what are your recommendations for 12(7) eligible revolvers & pistols in terms of fun to shoot (thus need be reasonably accurate and components need to be available). If something interesting about your recommendation please explain.

Did search 12.6, 12(6), 12(7), and 12.7 for 36 months to no avail.

Should it help, currently have HK PSP P7, SP01 Shadow, FS92 Inox, and Glock 17.

Good questions...do I need to get my 12-6 pre 46' Colt .38 revolver declared "12-7" now...for transfer later?

Neither you or the gun are 12-7, whomever you will it to will become the holder of a 12-7 PAL, the gun will always be 12-6 until the libs get back into power and it becomes scrap metal. - dan

The kinds of guns that would be fun to shoot:

A 1917 45ACP revolver.

A 1911 or 1911A1

A 455 Webley

a 32 Colt Police Positive (mine is very accurate - I think some pre-date 1946.)

A Walther PPK

A Luger is ok to shoot, but if you break a part, the gun can lose a lot of value.

You'll have to try various collector sites by brand (and sometimes model). Even then it is tough for some guns to get an accurate date. - dan

Buy a book oriented toward collectors for the type of firearm you'd prefer. The book might explain models, production differences, production numbers, and serial number ranges. You'll then be armed with the facts you need to proceed to search for a suitable model.

I would suggest a Luger but just buy a shooter grade, no need to invest extra money in something if you want to shoot it and if the Lieberals ever get back in possibly lose it. I have a reblued mixmaster that works perfectly and looks great, just what I need as a shooter.

Beretta Model 1934 - Great little reliable pistol in 380acp.
Inherited as a 12.7

Other good pistols which qualify as 12.7:
Sauer 38H
Mauser 1934
FN Browning 1906 Vest Pocket or Colt Vest Pocket 1908
