Hi guys.
Looking for a semi shotgun for the missus.
She wasn't calibrated properly at the factory.
But I love her.

Something that will cycle reduced power loads.
12 g ideally.
20g if worse comes to worst.

Factory calibration issues can be tricky, but glad to hear you're committed to troubleshooting!

For a semi-auto that cycles reduced-power loads reliably, look into gas-operated options like the Beretta 1301 or a Benelli M2 with a lightened recoil spring.

If 12g is too much, a 20g Benelli M2 or Franchi Affinity could be solid choices. Add a recoil pad and she might even self-calibrate over time.

Good luck

I know I'll take flak for suggesting a Turkish semi, but if stature is an issue, the Canuck Operator (Benelli M4 clone) has an adjustable stock that makes it ideal for smaller-framed shooters and it has been cycling everything I threw at it with almost perfect reliability, short of the first box of 25 Handicap Target loads of Challenger ammo that had ONE failure to eject. I went through 250 rounds of mixed low-to-high brass shells in one session and I could have kept going without much protest from my shoulder, but that was all I had brought with me and there was no time to go buy more.

The gas system is self-regulated and should take just about anything after a little break-in.

If the budget is there, obviously go for the original for peace of mind on long-term durability and warranty.

As a southpaw I’ve never felt at a disadvantage while shooting RH semi auto rifles or any kind of shotgun, actually find it an advantage. The only LH guns I’m interested in are bolt actions.

Get her a shotgun that fits her, don’t worry about which side it ejects shells.

The semi auto bullpups weren't very good for leftys as the hulls tended to bounce off your face
That would be one way to piss off the wife/ GF :ROFLMAO:
I second getting a beretta 1301, ya they are expensive but they are light and handle very good
