Thanks

You guys shoot a lot of 3 1/2 with the your A400
Just wondering since mine sure doesn't like them. I have done more tweeking to get that second round to chamber and even now certain brands of hulls it won't feed consistently
Cheers

Tagged for interest..

What do you guys think of the Versamax (not the Sportsman version)?

Many guys sware by them
I am not a good example since I bought one of the very first ones out and had issues with it from gas kits added and constant jamming so much so I traded it but it seems they are much better today
Cheers

Versamax is a fine shotgun and will have a softer recoil pulse than say an SBE-2. Both are great shotguns, but in the end it will depend on what feels best for you and what you want tho dish out for it.

I actually purchased one, because the price was too good to pass up, but I didn't like the fat fore end, so I sold it for a profit, without firing it.

Beretta A400

i bought a beretta a400 and the super black eagle 2. They are both great guns. I kept the A400. I found it shot softer and fit me better. I wouldn't hesitate to buy either

Franchi!

But seriously anything that isn't Turkish will likely serve you well in the semi gun world so buy the one that fits you the best when you shoulder it and point it.

My first A400 extreme and my current A400 Xtreme plus both cycle whatever I put in them. You may want to send it to Stoeger for some repairs. They are fantastic guns.

I bought a Versamax (not the sportsman) a couple years back and I love it! Light recoiling gas gun that will cycle anything I put in it, in any order! I fired a 3.5" 1 1/2 oz, #4 shot, black cloud for hunting, followed immediately by a 2.75", 7/8oz, #8 shot, target load, followed by a 3" 1 1/4oz, #4 shot, hunting load. Just to see if it would cycle and it did. The 2.75" 7/8oz target loads, I was told by the vendor, wouldn't cycle in any any of the "B" guns. He told me to use them in my O/U or pump, but the Versamax cycles them just fine. And no changing pistons or valves to do it.
