12 ga Flares

Does anyone know of an approved 12ga signal flare that can be used legally for marine applications?

not to sure about marine applications. But i've seen them @ Canadian Tire. Check it out....

orion. They make a 12 gauge flare pistol that used to take a 2-2.5" single burst flare, The flares I see now are stepped and I believe have a double burst. They are designed for the pistol so I don't know how they would hold up in a shotgun.
