12 ga O/U Churchill Kassnar

So a couple months back I purchased a O/U 12 ga , the missus wanted it but only today did I really look at it. Has any one heard of this brand and model , is it a good bird gun? We've had this for 2 months and not fired yet 12 ga Churchill Kassnar

My understanding is that the newer ones are made by Akkar in Turkey. Does it have a country of origin stamped on it anywhere?

I had bought one about 1 1/2 years ago off the EE. I think it was a spanish made gun but I don't remember for sure and I don't remember when it would have been made but I was not impressed with the quality. In fact, it was broken when it came and wouldn't ####. Noticed there was a piece broke off the cocking mechanism. The fellow I dealt with took it back right away, no questions asked. This is just my opinion but I didn't think it was much of a gun. Mind you, I haven't seen every Kassnar Churchill so I can't speak to all of them.

There should be proof marks on the underside of the barrels that will tell where it was made. If Spanish or Italian there should also be a date code and possibly the maker's initials or symbol.

Just bear in mind that these guns have absolutely no relation to the EJ Churchill family of fine shotguns.
They are kind of like a K car sporting a Mercedes hood ornament... ;-)

For sure they do not. They are a fairly low end gun, at least the one I briefly had was.
