Approx 1000 Parker BHE grade shotguns were made. Considering that Parker made about 242,000 shotguns before stopping production around 1942, a BHE shotgun is rather rare.
This gun was completed in 1906 and shipped to its owner in Winnipeg. It has 32" barrels with 2 3/4" chambers, full and extra full chokes, double triggers, ejectors, no safety, Monte Carlo comb with straight English grip, checkered butt, and weighs 7 lbs 11 oz. The floral engraving was an option to the more common dogs and scroll scenes. The lack of a safety means that the gun was most likely intended for trap shooting or possibly live pigeon shooting which was common in the early 1900's. The long 32" barrels, tight chokes and Monte Carlo comb pretty much confirms the gun was intended for competition shooting.
After 120 years of service this gun shoots as well as ever.
