Hey all , Usually I buy the aluminum snap caps from Elwood Epps . Was in Cabelas the other night and bought some Tipton,s clear plastic , spring loaded ones , just cause I was there . They jamb up my Mossberg 500 every cycle . It will cycle thru several brands of ammo no problems . Has any one had trouble with these .

AZooms leave metal shaving in my actions.

The clear Tipon ones and those black plastic ones are better suited for dry firing and storing a gun in the fired or hammer down position.

I use fired shell, pull out primer, stuff some black rubber in primer hole. wooden dowel in for weight, fold crimps in. mark brass with red sharpie so you don't mix them up.

I have. They'd cycle okay in my Benelli Nova, but they'd jam my SBE II. From what I could tell the 3.5 inch chambered gun would get confused by the 2.5 in ch long snap caps. Never had any issue with the A-zooms. They also leave me with more confidence I won't some day be picking pieces of plastic out of my actions.

Doesnt everything jam in a Mossberg ? Sorry I had to lol. I've had the aluminum ones for years and never had an issue I tried those zoom ones in 20 gauge and they seem ok. I guess time will tell if they start to crack !
