Benchrested... That may be my problem. I am shooting standing mostly because of the configuration of my 590.

I don't shoot from the hip at the range, but shoot it holding it up.
I did buy a traditional stock with buttpad and put it on for a couple of outings but that was before I joined my range. I will try putting that stock back on and try it bench resting along with your suggestion of different ammo. I may also put that Opsol adapter back in and use the Aguila mini shells slugs, to see if less recoil helps (I took the adapter out after shooting birdshot minishells in the bush, and they were manageable but since I joined the range, it is slugs only).
Every shockwave I've fired so far shoots high and to the right. the beads are usually canted a bit left and unlike a TAC-14 are not up on a pedestal. Mossberg recommends hip firing (which is ludicrous), so I don't think they really expected people to sight them like a shoulder-fired shotty.
Perhaps consider a higher front sight, like the ones that epoxy over your bead, or possibly look at a rail and red dot, or a decent set of ghost rings.
