12 Gauge 1(3/4)" mini slugs

Your not going to see the Aguila 1-3/4 mini shells (they are not slugs to the best of my knowledge) anytime soon. Apparently there is a hold up with the department of natural resources for one reason or another on letting them into the country. I've phoned the manufacturer Centurion (Aguila), the distributer in Canada, Big Rock sports, and several dealers who carry there ammo and have not been able to get a "yes, we'll get you those" from any of them, that included Wanstalls, Italian sporting goods, Reliable, a couple places in Alberta. No ones got them or has plans to get them besides Wanstalls, the only expected eta from Craig was hurry up and wait.... he's had them on order since last shot show.

They are designed for pump actions mostly, I am not sure how they would cycle in a semi or if that would be legal to load more than 2 into a semi without an additional plug in the mag tube.

Me I want these for my KSG 20 rounds without reload would make it very interesting.

My best guess for a semi is 5 rounds total because they're not in a "pistol" designated mag. For range shooting you'd have to plug it at 5 rds... (only my opinion...)

Your best option is to make them yourself.

Cut your ordinary 2-3/4" shells to desired length, trim the wad, you will have to create your own custom load that fits them well, then roll crimp to a finish.

I am unsure how the extra short shell will perform upon firing having excess space in the chamber, but I already shoot 2-3/4 in a 3" chamber with no adverse effects so my presumption is no negative effects.

As for a powder charge and projectile weight I have no idea what is optimal, I would assume replicating the designated load from those factory 1 3/4" shells would work best.

Good luck and proceed with caution if you do go down that path, less is always best to start with.
