Truflare doesn't post this warning on their BB boxes, but all other bear bangers I have shot had a warning on the catridge box advising that because they are a specialized, low pressure munition, they may leave wads or other FO in the barrel, and you should check the barrel to ensure it is free from obstructions before firing conventional ammo.
Not what I want to be doing if the banger doesn't deter Teddy, and he comes to check out the sounds of me scrambling to get a cleaning rod out of my pack, down the bore, re-checking the bore, and fumbling for slugs to do what I should have done in the first place. Nor do I want to torch off a slug behind a BBanger, only to find it DID obstruct the bore, and now Teddy just has to pull a small piece of chamber out of my skull before setting down to a slightly scorched snack.
Nice 4th of July goodies. (I always celebrate the liberty of our good friends down south on July 4.) Not much good for bears, though. In my experience with bears, they seem quite unfamiliar with munitions of any sort, and therefore are no where near as impressed by fireworks, warning shots, or threatening poses as would be any self-respecting tree-hugger.
