12 gauge flares out of 13" Dominon arms backpacker?

It's a good question...I know (as many here do) that open/cylinder is what's recommended for things like bird-bangers and flares, and that it's the "polychokes" that you need to be most careful with [regarding flares] but, in short, for the backpacker specifically....

My Griz 12.5" has a modified screw in choke and fires everything without issues until guns very hot.

When the guns been firing hundreds at a time I've had a few bear bangers ignite in the barrel and just make a huge freakin boooom and fireball out of the muzzle with not much recoil at all.
 
I fired a flare out of my Outlaw last week. No problems. I cant honestly remember what choke is in there.

I have heard stories of people ruining shotguns with flares though.....
