12 Gauge Rubber Baton Slug

Depends on what you are shooting at, at the range. Pretty safe if you arent goofing around. Tried a variety if them, especially the little rubber loads a few years ago, had a trajectory of a brick, but mildly entertaining to shoot.

Thats a very nice price! I suspect the OP doesn't reload for shotgun though, if hes looking at $4/shot options. I know I don't reload for shotgun yet, as much as I want to I just don't have the space currently.

Are the rubber balls sold specifically for shotgun reloading, or are you repurposing something else?

Thats what friends are for...

Actually looking at placing another order with the Covid motherland.

Anybody want in?
$23/100 rubber balls. Says reusable...from my experience...well I have not been able to find any to reuse....zinnnng

Quite right, I don't reload. The price does not actually bother me all that much (despite it being incredibly steep). To be perfectly honest, the main reason I am looking at these is because it is one of those things I assumed we couldn't get here. Not the kind of thing I would use on a regular basis (because I don;t live in the woods) and at that price, it would not be range toy. In short, Im probably going to get some at some point, shoot a few rounds at the range and then they might just live In my safe as a part of a collection.

The original concept I believe for the rubber ball or balls ammo was for crowd dispersal. To be shot at a distance so to bounce them in to and among the crowds and not directly at any given target. Because there is no spin when fired there accuracy is usually poor . And there is that thing about them bouncing back at ya if you shoot something solid. Unpredictable fun shooting experiences.

I don't mind paying $4-$5 each but i dont need 25.

If anyone in Ottawa ever wants to sell 5-10, send me a DM

Here in northern Alberta at least two gun stores have been stocking the Lightfield brand of a neon color rubber ball. I have seen 12 and 20 gauge. Even the 12 gauge variant has a higher velocity choice versus the other one.

Not a bad idea really. Sometimes you just want some space between yourself and a furry critter.

Weellll, I'd like to hear from 'actual users' as to their efficiency in 'Deterrence'. I can see HD uses, avoiding some lawsuit but as for 'furry critters' I'd be skeptical unless they're 2-legged furries. 5x One-ounce+ of lead would work better in my opinion.
