12" L.O.P. stocks and why you use them.

BadBoy, thats a bada$$ shotty.

I like the idea of an adjustable stock, and if I had it my way Knoxx would get Remingtons order filled so Reliable Gun and Tackle can get the SpecOps in for me. Instead of dreaming I figured I would purchase a Hogue stock, thus the reason for my question is revealed.

I have a HP-9 aswell. I put a 12" speedfeed on mine (pistol grip, so no thumb issues so for me)

I took the recoil pad off and put a solid plate on. Its got 11'' now.

I would go to 10 or may 9 inches if it were possible to cut the stock down.

Its not for plinking or target shooting. Just for saving my skin. I dont care if it gives me a wollop on the shoulder as long as it does its job and handles quick.

I find that the shorter it is the better it points for me. Thats why I went so short. And to cut the weight and bulk I had to hump through the woods.

12 inch pull is nice if you want to shoot some what like a pistol grip... snug it into your side with your elbow ... more control and it doesn't hurt your wrist as much as a pistol grip.

If you shoot in a more open position with the butt in well on the shoulder, the shortness can easily be compensated for. A lot of shooters incorrectly shoot across their bodies with the butt more into their bicep..
