120 gr barns and a 270wsm

I just picked up some old stock Barns bullets for my 270 wsm . They are 120 gr X type question is since # 4 reload book doesnt list them anymore should i use the banded solids 120 gr data would this be safe . Does anyone have old data or a good go to load that could be sugested due to i only have 50 I dont want to evaluate a load and only have 10 bullets left .If anyone has a box of the old stock bullets i would be interested in buying them thanks for your help

As I understand it, the non-banded bullets caused higher pressures than standard bullets and the grooved bullets were developed to reduce this problem. I would guess that you cannot use the grooved bullet data for the non-grooved bullets.
