Hi all,
Have any our CGN 6.5 nuts tried the 120gr GMX's in their 6.5x55's (or other .264" cartridges)?
I attempted some loads the other day and the results were poor. The loads were 42-46gr H4350 in win brass with CCI250's, OAL at 3" as per Hornady's recommendation. The rifle, a Tikka T3, is typically very accurate most loads I develop. 44-46gr showed 2 shots touching with one flier way out - 3"-4" out. Velocity was well within the range I would like with the 46gr reloads around, 2900fps.
I will next experiment with different OAL's and switch to a STD primer - perhaps he magnums are jumping the bullet early and causing inconsistent ignition pressures?
Cheers
