I was meaning to buy 130gr TSX's but in a moment of curiosity I opted for the 120gr GMX's.

Has anyone tried this bullet in a 6.5x55?

Would you be willing to share your data? I am hoping that RE22 will work. I know it does better with 140gr class bullets (and has proven this to be true in my Tikka) but the longer GMX might benefit from the slower powder (130gr Matrix bullets do well with RE22 for me).

As much as I like to experiment I am now looking for 'the one' load in my 6.5 that will become my default for hunting with this rifle. If I can get good accuracy and 2800 fps MV I will be happy...

Cheers

I am shooting the 120 GMX in my 6.5x55 [700 Remington Classic, Shilen 24" 1-8 twist barrel]

I am chasing it with 50 grains of W760, for over 2900 fps, and stellar accuracy.
Have not shot any game yet, but have no doubt it will work just fine.

Start at 46 and work up carefully.

Regards, Dave.
