124 Grain Zero JHP & Titegroup

Hey Folks,

I'm going to load some 9mm zero 124g JHP - shooting in a G34. I am using titegroup for my powder. I can't find any data for the zeros, but other 124 JHP loads seem to call for 3.8-4.2g. 3.8 grain with other 124g bullets usually won't cycle my gun too well so I am not going to bother with that.

I was going to load a few at 4g and see how she goes.

Does anyone have experience loading these bullets with titegroup?

I've been loading 124gr FMJ with between 4 - 4.4gr of tightgroup. It runs reliably in my P7, P225 and M&P.

Yup I was loading 124gr with 4.3 of Titegroup.. I also tested with 4.1 but I liked the pop of 4.3 better.. 1.135OAL

I'm now shooting 3.7gr behind a 124 berry's.. This was due to an error on my part. I would be shooting 4.3 if I hadn't screwed up.

i use 4.1 grns of titegroup but it shoots differently with all guns so start low and work up and choose the best round.

4.2 of Titegroup works for my 124gr loads. For a hollow point, if you cant find data, subtract about .020" off OAL of FMJ loads and you have a pretty good start point

Ok so I tried it out with 4grains of titegroup behind at 124g JHP zero. Cycled the gun with no issues (g34). I might try a batch with 4.1g to see how that shoots, but at least I have a starting point.

4.4 gr. of Titegroup gives me the best groups with 124s in my 17L... but they are nowhere near as good as 5.4 gr. of Power Pistol.
